British Thornton, Keighley (Winter 2005/06)
The factory had an asbestos roof which was
leaking badly.
We were asked to remove the existing roof and
replace it with Kingspan composite roof panels
whilst the factory was in continuous production
(school furniture).
In order to achieve this, production was moved
in sections around the factory on a progressive
basis during works, while the existing roof (chrysolite)
was removed section by section and replaced with
Kingspan onto the existing frame.
The whole roof area was approximately 3,000 sq
m, and the job took 7 weeks.
The client was delighted. We completed on
time and within budget without problems.
